Need help understanding sound transmission and insulation in buildings in NCC 2022? Help is here!
We’ve updated our Sound Transmission and Insulation in Buildings handbook to align with NCC 2022.
This handbook expands on the regulatory requirements of the NCC in Volumes One and Two. It provides design guidance for practitioners to consider when implementing solutions to provide acceptable levels of sound insulation.
What’s changed for NCC 2022?
The NCC 2022 sound insulation requirements include changes to:
- the clause numbering due to the introduction of a consistent volume structure (CVS) across all 3 volumes of the NCC
- the Performance Requirements for sound transmission and insulation - these are now quantified in NCC Volumes One and Two.
